Hey, this is Raghda Moataz, an art director, graphic designer, published author, and researcher, based in Cairo, Egypt.
Raghda has a BFA in Applied Sciences and Arts from the German University in Cairo (GUC). Moataz became a young author when she published her first book “Absolute Egypt”. Her work revolves around researching visual culture and reusing its meanings to produce new visuals that are powerful and relevant to our Arabic region.
In regards to work, Moataz was a branding design instructor at MISK Institute in Riyadh, a graphic design instructor at Kemet Arts & Design and was the art director of Hundred Best Arabic Posters (100/100) competition round 2, and a senior associate designer in Sharaf studio. She is currently the art director of Zyda company.
In regards to achievements, she was an Adobe Achievement Award semi-finalist, listed among the 100/100 competition round 2 winners, presented in the HGB book fair 2018 in Germany, and a three-times excellence award winner at the GUC, and was also featured in Slanted magazine and in 100/100 round 3 catalog.
She was lucky to be invited to give talks at multiple universities and on multiple media platforms: American University in Sharjah, Falmouth University in the UK, German University in Cairo, and Coventry University in Egypt.
